                  Wine and Oyster Tasting
In conjunction with the Wine Market, the New Amsterdam Market
School will host a very special Wine
and Oyster Tasting with Jim Clarke, the beverages
director at Megu New York and a prolific wine writer, and Nellie

W&T Seafood and a frequent teacher of oyster education programs
                  around the city.

Jim and Nellie will present a lively discussion of New York's
wine regions, terroir, and grape varieties, then give an overview
of six oyster varieties and how terroir (or "mere-oir")
also influences their flavor and texture. Guests will enjoy
a guided tasting of 6 delicious local wines paired with a dozen
oysters from six unique growing regions.
